Our tour with Michael was absolutely amazing! From the fresh pastries he gave us at the start of our tour to visiting the beautiful sites and farm. Michael was so knowledgeable and a wonderful tour guide! He showed us local spots and scenery we never even imagined seeing! Our lunch at a local spot was delicious with the most fresh food ever! We cannot recommend this tour or company enough. You made our time in Crete truly special!read more

Michel was an outstanding guide! We could not have had a better time in Crete because of all he shared with us. Not only did we see beautiful beaches, villages, churches, museums, but Michel shared so much of his culture and family traditions with us...we felt as though we had known him forever after just 2 days! We took my mom, who is half Greek, for her 75th birthday and she was able to ask him everything and anything about her own culture and upbringing and relate on a different level. It was incredibly special for her. And the food! The special baked goods Michel would bring each morning were such a great treat as were all the Cretan specialties he told us about. Crete was a wonderful place! And Crete Private Guide was a huge factor in making it so great. Our guide, Michael, was the best guide EVER! He made us feel welcome, special and safe. I can not express my satisfaction of the choice of tour agency in Crete! Easy going communication, wonderful suggestions from Maria who was extremely helpful and kind! I cannot express how much we enjoyed Michael’s tours around Crete. He was so incredibly informative and educational, but most importantly he was flexible and kind, adapting the tour to our very worn selves when we weren’t quite up to the plan. We experienced so many great things and made memories that will last a lifetime. We especially loved sharing meals together and learning about the traditions and people that make Crete such an amazing place. The olive oil tour and tasting was also such a unique and tremendous experience. We were strangers when we arrived, but family as we left.read more

Crete Private Guide was excellent to work with pre trip and quickly answered all my communications. Our guide was Roussos and he was excellent. I was traveling with my 13 year old granddaughter and Roussos paid attention to her and was interactive including her in all aspects of our conversations. In addition he was always aware of where she was and made sure she was safe. Besides being a great guide, he was personable and kind of like being with a family member. We stopped for local food tasting, went to Zorba's Beach and of course Old Chania. I would highly recommend this tour company and Roussos as a guide.read more

We LOVED our 3 days with Michael! He took us to places that we never would have seen. Our absolute favorite day was the boat trip along the south side of the island swimming in the most beautiful water we have ever seen. Had a great detailed tour with Crete Private Guide! Mike was awesome, the absolute perfect guide for us. We did not have a lot of time so he gave us the highlight reel of Crete, great wine, cheese, desserts, coffee and local treats. Walking around Chania we got a very good lesson on the area's history, culture and even experienced the most in depth wine tasting/education we have ever come across. Finished up with a super authentic Cretan dinner at one of the top restaurants on the waterfront. Two thumbs up, thank you Crete Private Guide!!read more

We had two wonderful experiences with Michael. The walking tour of Chania was very informative (and delicious). We got to understand the true Chania from a local's perspective. Our next excursion was the all-day boat trip along the south coast. So many amazing places to swim, scenery was simply fantastic and Michael made sure our entire day was more than enjoyable. The Crete Private Guide company was very responsive considering one of our excursions was booked with 48 hours notice. If you're in Crete and in search of a local private guide, we recommend Crete Private Guide, and especially Michael!read more

My girlfriend and I did 3 days of touring with Crete private guide in Chania. First off, our guide Michael was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating to our every need.The itineraries were all thoughtfully planned and executed. We did a tour of Chania on day 1 where we learned so much about the city while tasting many amazing cretan dishes and wines.Day 2 was a private boat tour of Balos Lagoon, which was absolutely mesmerizing and day 3 we visited the country and had an amazing rustic meal in a small village that a tourist could only dream of finding.I couldn’t recommend this company and more importantly our guide Michael any more. When leaving Crete our ferry was cancelled and Michael worked to help find us new transportation even though this happened after we finished the tours. He truly goes above and beyond! Although we also visited santorini and Mykonos this aspect of the trip was far and away the best! The value in Crete is amazing and it’s only matched by the true hospitality. I have traveled to many places and this was by far one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The staff is so personable, accommodating and friendly. The excursions are beyond beautiful, well-planned and luxe. We did the city tour, a beach/boat tour and a mountain/ farm tour with Crete Private Guide - there is truly no other way to explore and learn about the island. I would recommend this to any person planning a trip, and I would particularly recommend booking with Michael. He was the best, most helpful, generous guide ever with such insight on Crete and incredible storytelling!read more

We met Michalis few years ago. We have been to Crete 7 times and now 2022 we where going for the first time after Covid. We contacted Michalis and told him that we would like to go for the war tour and the beach tour. Before we knew he had made a wonderful plan for these trips. We did not have to do anything. He had everything planned. Food, snacks and he knows so much regarding all Crete. He picked us up from the hotel. We do recommend with all our heart everything that Michalis does.We met Michalis few years ago. We have been to Crete 7 times and now 2022 we where going for the first time after Covid. We took the war tour and saw the cemeteries for soldiers from Germany and visited a man who collect things from the word war 2. Then another day we took the beach tour. We did go to the Marmara beach which is so beautiful, Sweet water beach and the beautiful Loutro. We do recommend with all our heart everything that Michalis does. I visited Crete for business but i tried to see also a bit of the beauties, so i booked a tour with this company! I decided to see the inner country so i was recommended a villages and mountain tour.Nice experience, good service and very good food in a small traditional restaurant on the mountains!Also amazing views and funny guide!!It worthed every penny!!Next time i ll choose them again!read more

It was a unforgetable experienced with the "SAFARI RIDE" and our tourist guide Michalis was very nice. He gave my husband to drive on his own with the Jimny and drive to the Mountain. Had experienced to pick fresh organic oranges😊 and stopped by in a place were they serve authentic Greek food and a good taste of liquor. We are looking forward to visit Crete one day, soon. Holidays CRETE 2018It was an Adventure we did not expect! We know Crete since many, MANY Years (21years) and this Trip made us (my Wife & me) speechless! The Day with the guide was eye opening, he showed us Crete from a totally different perspective. We used to rent a car, drive around in search of new spots and flavors of that beautiful Mediterranean Pearl all those years. Now, looking back, I’m happy my wife convinced me to try some new stuff, so we checked out this private Guide #creteprivateguide . With confidence He promised to show us the true Spirit of the Island and some hidden gorges. We took of before the biggest heat, early that Day. We got a deep view of the culture and specialty’s, even saw some huge griffon vultures (@ least that’s what i believe it was) Well, we are still amazed from that day, there for we can really say, we had a great day (the Guide kept his Word).Thank you so much & Greetings from Germany to Crete!
